State Rep. Eric Synenberg has introduced legislation that would permit medical aid in dying (MAID) in Ohio. But because it is patterned on the classic "U.S. model," even if this bill passes, many seriously ill Ohioans will not be eligible.
Consequently, Ohio clinicians and families should better familiarize themselves with VSED and VSED by advance directive. I discussed both these Ohio-legal options in this presentation at the Cleveland Clinic.
