I have just received messages from several authors whose books on end-of-life healthcare were removed from Amazon. My own quick search shows that many books previously sold on Amazon are no longer listed.
Presumably, this is a reaction to high-profile lawsuits in multiple jurisdictions against both Amazon and AI chat companies for facilitating teen suicides. But Amazon's algorithm is apparently overbroad because it has caught these books written for seriously ill older adults. VSED, for example, is a legal option supported by major medical professional societies.
