This 45-minute documentary film follows 59-year-old Uwe Korous as he hastens his death through VSED to avoid the end-stages of ALS. The entire film is available above. Here is a trailer from RBB.
Korous was diagnosed with the incurable neurodegenerative disease ALS in September 2023. While it progresses rapidly, Uwe lived his remaining time actively, including paragliding over the Tyrolean mountains. Only When Uwe realized that life at home was no longer worth living (around 29:00 in the film), did he go to a hospice for VSED (sterbefasten).
