NVVE has updated its 40-page guide to end-of-life options, The Final Stages of Life. This is solid advice for a Dutch audience, though most is applicable elsewhere.
Two parts are notable:
- The guide notes that individuals can draft an advance request for euthanasia. But it warns several times that such requests are unlikely to be honored.
- The guide awkwardly places VSED in a section on "suicide." But it correctly notes it is a permissible and comfortable option.
