Irmtraud wants to die. She is 90 years old, suffers from Parkinson's disease, and under no circumstances wants to become a full-time nursing case. The old lady has an extremely alert mind, but is trapped in a body that is increasingly dysfunctional. So one day she decides to go without food and, to a large extent, fluids in order to end her life with dignity. She asks her neighbor and the author of this book to accompany her on her journey, which will last 16 days.
