Medical malpractice cases are almost always settled and dismissed before they get to a jury trial. But not Schara v. Ascension. A jury trial is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 2, 2025, in Appleton, Wisconsin.
The parents of 19-year-old Grace Schara allege that clinicians withdrew her treatment without consent causing her death. The trial will examine allegations of negligence, lack of informed consent, and medical battery.
