USA Remains Leader in Advance Care Planning

U.S. reports regularly lament persistently low rates of advance care planning and advance directive completion. Rightly so. This leads to unwanted and value-discordant care.

But almost no other country on Earth does it better. Many are far worse. I chastised Australia here. And in Hong Kong 90 per cent of patients died in hospitals even though 90 per cent wished to spend their final moments in the community.
