Life-sustaining Treatment Preferences at End of Life: ICU Hospital Professionals

ICU hospital professionals do not lead by example. A new study of 200 ICU professionals reveals two interesting findings: 

1. Only 13% have advance directives. 

2. In 7 of 9 scenarios, they would withdraw life-sustaining treatment for themselves more often than for patients.
