In 2016, a survey published in BMJ Supportive & Palliative Care of nearly 1000 Japanese home hospice physicians and palliative care specialists (with >60% response rate) found 32% had cared for patients undergoing VSED.
Now, a new study published in Journal of General and Family Medicine finds that 25% of Japanese home care physicians and nurses had experienced patients attempting VSED.
