This one-hour video from California's Mettle Health provides a nice introductory overview of both MAID and VSED. And it dives into practical implementation challenges for clinicians, patients, and families. The presenters are a physician, a nurse, and a palliative care consultant.  

The webinar is intended as a "level setting discussion" on MAID: Medical Aid-in-Dying and VSED: Voluntarily Stopping Eating and Drinking. What do these processes entail? What do people and their circle of care need to know, both logistically and emotionally? What's most important? Having support, from caregivers and from medical professionals, as well as lots of ongoing communication. Each experience is unique and we encourage lots of conversations about every aspect of these processes.
