Conscience Based Objections in Healthcare

This is a big year for legislation authorizing clinicians and healthcare entities to refuse any participation in healthcare to which they object. 

While these state laws cannot excuse duties under federal law, they broadly waive traditional duties to respect patient rights. The red states already had these laws. The yellow states are considering nearly identical legislation.
