Published data on VSED, for example in the 2024 Dutch Guidelines, indicates that most (in fact, almost all) patients who begin VSED continue VSED until their death. But I was just informed of one notable counterexample.
Aubrey Welsh had been documenting his VSED on his blog. But it was not really VSED because he continued to consume some liquids, extending his VSED duration. Eventually, after some 3-4 weeks, he questioned his motivation for continuing the VSED and after much deliberation, decided to stop the VSED.
