Utah Enacts Revised Uniform Health Care Decisions Act

Utah has just enacted the Revised Uniform Health Care Decisions Act. That makes Utah the second state, after Delaware, to enact the RUHCDA. Legislation remains pending in several more states.

In contrast to the original UHCDA, the RUHCDA makes important updates to reflect both changes in technology (e.g., electronic ADs) and changes in family arrangements (e.g., for default surrogate priority).
