As the 2025 legislative session begins, more states are considering following Delaware and adopting the new and improved Uniform Health Care Decisions Act.
Virginia has introduced H.B. 2535. Nebraska has introduced L.B. 66. The UHCDA improves older statutes on matters from advance directives, to healthcare agents, to default surrogates.
