A recent story in the Liverpool Post shows that NHS clinicians regularly hasten the death of patients with neither their consent nor their knowledge.
The story quotes heavily from last year's report by The Lords and Commons Family and Child Protection Group (LCFCPG). For example: "Time after time, our report shows that excessive and inappropriate use of midazolam and morphine, prescribed unnecessarily and with the inevitable result that the patient became comatose, coupled with the withdrawal of food and hydration, have combined to impose a death sentence."
