New Disability Discrimination Regulations May Prohibit Treatment Refusals

This recent study suggests that many physicians would judge a patient's dementia as reason not to administer surgery for cancer. 











But under new federal disability discrimination regulations that take effect on July 8, 2024, this may be a prohibited consideration because it judges her life with dementia as less worth living.
