Midrar Ali - Latest Pediatric Medical Futility Dispute in UK Court

Complications during birth left Midrar Ali without oxygen for eight minutes, leaving him catastrophically brain damaged. St Mary's Hospital in Manchester has asked the Family Court in Preston to authorize withdrawal of life support from Midrar, who is now three months old.

Midrar's family is contesting the hospital's decision. So, this case has the same posture as other recent high profile cases like Charlie Gard, Alfie Evans, and Tafida Raqeeb. Justice MacDonald ruled that the court will decide future treatment on January 20, 2020.
