Aruna Shanbaug Case Inspires Film Series "Kasak"

The upcoming web series, Kasak, is inspired by the Aruna Shanbaug case.

Shanbaug was the subject of an important court case on euthanasia. An Indian nurse, Shanbaug was raped by a ward boy named Sohanlal Bhartha Walmiki in 1973. The attack left Shanbaug in a vegetative state for 42 years, before she died of pneumonia in May 2015.
