Court Rules against Clinicians in UK Medical Futility Dispute - Tafida Raqeeb

British courts usually side with clinicians in medical futility disputes. But, today, the court ruled against them.

The parents of Tafida Raqeeb have won their first court battle (perhaps of several to come) to transfer their critically ill child to Italy. Clinicians at Barts Health NHS Trust argue that stopping life-support treatment was in Tafida's best interests. Mr. Justice MacDonald did not agree. I posted the 70-page judgment here.
