Illinois Enacts Advance Directive Registry Law

Illinois has enacted a new law (SB 182) that directs the state Department of Public Health to do a feasibility study regarding the creation of a registry of advance directives and POLST forms. The new law also provides for creation of advance directives in an electronic format.
