This year, Texas legislators introduced multiple House and Senate bills to amend the Texas Advance Directives Act. Only one (S.B. 2089) made substantial progress, passing one chamber and a key committee in the other.
However, S.B. 2089 was not taken up by the full House by the end-of-session deadline. That means that there will be no amendments to TADA this year.
