Virginia Senate Passes "Futile Treatment" Bill

The Virginia Senate has passed legislation (38 to 2) that would give Virginia clinicians the authority to stop life-sustaining treatment.

If this bill passes the House of Delegates, Virginia will have a end-of-life dispute resolution law similar to Texas. The key difference is that Virginia would afford families the right to court review.
