New Technologies in Self-Deliverance - NuTech Conference 2017

NuTech (New Technologies in Self-Deliverance) is a loose assembly of individuals interested in, and working on, the development of practical solutions for stakeholders (rational adults) who are interested in access to a peaceful, reliable (and non-medical) death, regardless of where in the world they live.

NuTech held its most recent conference in October 2017 in Toronto. The program included presentations of inventions that were in competition for the inaugural NuTech Innovation Award:

  • Life Quality Monitor (David Jones, UK)
  • Ranking DIY Methods (Ted Ballou, US)
  • GULPS Generator (John Todd, Aus)
  • Revisiting Compression (Neal Nicol, US)
  • Frequency Testing of Helium Purity (Hugh Wynne, UK)
  • Revisiting the Re-Breather (Bob, US)

Relatedly, Philip Nitschke described the Sarco and the new Dutch Salts. On reclining in the Sarco capsule, activation uses liquid nitrogen to rapidly drop the oxygen level, and a peaceful death will result in just a few minutes. The capsule can then be detached from the Sarco machine and used as a coffin. Sarco does not use any restricted drugs, or require any special expertise such as the insertion of an intravenous needle. Anyone who can pass the entry test, can enter the machine and legally end their life

It is expected that NuTech will coincide with the biennial conference of the World Federation of Right to Die Societies in Cape Town, South Africa in September, 2018.
