"Fourth U.S. state to affirmatively legalize aid-in-dying." After reviewing the actual language of bill, this seems to be something of an overstatement. The Vermont law merely immunizes the physican from a patient "who self-adminsters more than a prescribed dosage" and dies in the process. It doesn't authorize prescription of a fatal dosage or affirmatively allow the physician to assist the patient to calculate the dosage above the prescribed amount will achieve the desired result.
