End-of-Life Liberty - AUL Names Best U.S. States

Americans United for Life has again named the best states for end-of-life liberty. These happen to be the states at the bottom of its 2026 "Life List," which ranks states from most to least pro-life based on their existing life-affirming policies.

These top 11 states are

  1. Oregon
  2. New Jersey
  3. Vermont
  4. Hawaii
  5. Washington
  6. New York
  7. Massachusetts
  8. Colorado
  9. California
  10. New Mexico
  11. Maine

All except Massachusetts have passed a MAID law. The next five states on the list are

  1. Maryland
  2. Rhode Island
  3. Minnesota
  4. Illinois
  5. Delaware

Both Illinois and Delaware recently enacted MAID legislation.

    You are saying that MAID is life affirming?

    The MAID list is the opposite inverse of AUL's life affirming list. But this implies that MAID is NOT life affirming. I do not agree with this statement -- "MAID is not life affirming."
