Advance Directives/Care Planning: Clear, Simple, and Wrong

Sean Morrison wrote a provocative article this summer in the Journal of Palliative Medicine titled "Advance Directives / Care Planning: Clear, Simple, and Wrong." One key line challenges long held tenets in bioethics, palliative care, and medicine more broadly: "Advance directives/care planning is unlikely to ever achieve reliable occurrence of goal-concordant care."

More recently, Morrison discussed this article on the GeriPal podcast.
