In re Lauren Richardson -- U.S. Senate Race in DE
Here in my neighborhood, Christine O'Donnell (R) is fighting Joe Biden (D) for his U.S. Senate seat. The local paper reported yesterday that Biden is focusing almost all his time campaigning as VP candidate and almost none as a Senator candidate. Nevertheless, polls suggest that Biden will win handily. O'Donnell, a conservative Catholic, is running a faith-based campaign. She urges voters: "When you go into the voting booth, ask God which candidate will further the kingdom of God." The News Journal reports that "the fervent right-to-life advocate . . . in recent months has taken the side of the father of Lauren Richardson, a Delaware woman in a persistent vegetative state from a drug overdose. Richardson's father is fighting a court order to have her feeding tube removed."
